Alison Todes is a lecturer in the Department of Town and Regional Planning, and a member of the Built Environment Support Group at the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa. She has a Bachelor of Psychology and a Master ofUrban Planning from the University ofCape Town. She worked as a researcher at the Urban Problems Research Unit at the Universityof Cape Town and at the Built Environment Support Group.
